 Dave got the outside wash rack built! It is AWESOME!! I love it!!

 We had visitors the other day!! I asked the girls: out of the 4 ponies which one was their favorite and why?

One little girl said, “the horse that gives kisses!”
The other little girl knew which horse gave kisses and said, “Stormy!”

Trick: Kiss me!

Barn Build

Dave got ALL the walls up today, along with the ceiling in the tack room.

We are having our master bath remodeled, so I kept the old cabinets for the tack room. That pup of mine, such a ham!

RIP Sox

 My heart broke today. Sox went to kitty heaven this morning, he will be truly missed. He was always getting himself into trouble, an explorer at heart. You are forever loved my little Sox Monster.

 The wood came today for the interior of my barn, yippee! Dave is off all next week so guess what he’ll be doing.

Drove Shadow

 Drove Shadow in our fruit orchard today.

Shadow - TRT - Art Cowsen Trailhead

 I took Shadow to the Art Cowsen Trailhead today where we meet some really nice ladies.

Shadow was on his best behavior!
And they just loved him!

The trail leads to Oakmount Park, which have visited before, so that was really cool. The trails were beautiful, plenty of shade, lots of bridges, and very nice scenery.

Here is a short video of Shadow walking along the trail and a biker going by. Shadow has over come his fear of bikes and nothing really fazes him anymore. I am so proud of him!!

Thunder Colic

 Thunder was colicky today so I took him to the vet. I think I caught it pretty early so that’s a plus. They had to put the tube up his nose which goes to his stomach to get mineral oil in him to help soften his poop. No sedation at all, he was a little champ! This is the second time now that he has colic, the first time being in the spring. I think it is from increasing his grass time, so I have pretty much decided to keep him off grass. I am going to try to keep his diet as consistent as possible. I think since he is a dwarf that is contributing to him being prone to colic and I don’t want to take any chances with him…. He is just too precious to me.

Shadow - TRT - Oakmount Park

 We started our morning with a beautiful walk at Oakmount Park. There were tons of trees and plenty of shade. Shadow did great with the few bikes that went whizzing by, he didn’t even spoke once, woohoo! And I will note that today I did notice a change in him. He is growing more and more confident in himself with each adventure we go on.

Then on our way home we ended up stopping at Longhorn Park which is on Benbrook Lake. It was absolutely AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL!!!!

I took all 4 little boys for a walk in the neighborhood. Of course Stormy was being his bratty little self, trying to nip at and play with Shadow…what a brat! I ended up putting Stormy on his own lead rope so I could control his every move …. then it was peaceful again.

 Thunder and I have been roller skating for the past couple of weeks and are having a blast! Here we are roller skating in the neighborhood.

Barn Build: Rear Awning

 Dave got all the metal up yesterday morning on the rear awning!

 Dave got ALL the rear awning framed out today! He has got to be exhausted, those long boards are wet and must weigh a ton!! Tomorrow he will be putting on the metal to finish up the awning. It is sooooo nice, sooooo BEAUTIFUL! He is doing such an outstanding job!!!

TRT - Clearfork

 I took Shadow to the Clearfork trailhead this morning. He is afraid of bicycles so I decided to take him today, Sunday, since I knew the trail would be packed with them….and I was right! I am sooooo mean LOL LOL. I ground drove him because I wanted him out front and looking at ALL the bikes as they went zooming by. He spooked several times, didn’t knock me over so that’s a plus. When we got to the turn around point, I let him eat some grass. Why is it that when a horse starts eating grass nothing scares them?!! As he was eating bikes went speeding by and nothing fazed him. On the way back, I wouldn’t say he was COMPLETELY desensitized, but he is getting there. Overall I thought he did great being out by himself.
