OMG! This was our first time sledding and I couldn’t stop squealing like a 10 year old school girl!
I didn’t get Stormy use to the sled or anything. I just jumped right in and away we went! He handled it like a champ!

I did finally figure out I could sit back in the sled for a much more comfy ride.
There is a Winter Stormy Watch starting tomorrow, Monday at noon until Wednesday at 9am. Stormy is ready for the bad weather!

Poor Riffics got an abscess on his back left hoof. The vet had to come out to drain it and got it all wrapped up. She is coming out again to re-wrap either tonight or tomorrow. With all the rain we had yesterday Riffics has to stay in his stall so we can keep the bandage dry. I put shavings down in attempt to keep his stall dry.

What a glorious day! Breezy and I went to Bicentennial Park today for our very first trail drive all by ourselves. He has never been to this park and he did AWESOME! He truly is the tiny horse of my dreams. I ask for a trot, he trots and says whatever you want mom! I ask for a walk, and he is like ok I got this. We went over a couple of bridges perfectly. He is such an AMAZING tiny little trail horse in the making! I am so excited about him and our future together!

I have freaked myself out about predators so I bought the boys a horse box! What if I go to bear country? I can’t just tie them to the side of my van, they would be dangling bait for a bear or even a mountain lion!
You have no idea of how many trailer dealers and “custom” trailer dealers I have called over the past couple of months. I have also called mini horse trailer dealers out of state and some of them wouldn’t even get back to me. Most places say my trailer project is just too small to take on, in other words it isn’t worth their time and they wouldn’t make enough money. My trailer has to be very small and lightweight in order for it to be towed behind my little van. |

Our ribbon arrived today from the miniature horse forum and it is beautiful! Stormy was so excited to get it!

Both Breezy and Stormy are such sweet and friendly horses. They both get along with my dog Lacy and all the barn cats. Neither one of them have a mean bone in their little bodies. I know (and have had) a lot of horses who aren’t very tolerant and would chase off dogs and cats. Here’s a picture of Breezy and Gray Kitty drinking from the same water bucket. Breezy gave her a little nudge so she would share the water, but he was very gentle with her. This is just one example of his sweet and charming personality.

I took Breezy to my Dads today to meet my niece Christa and her beautiful one year old baby Connie.
