Bentley - TRT Main Park

 The Main Park did not disappoint! It was completely packed, of course it is Sunday after all. Bentley’s first time here and he was so calm for me today at this extremely active park. He didn’t mind walking under the loud noisy bridge with cars flying by over head. He didn’t really mind all the people and screaming kids, bikes no problem. He was pretty much fine at the duck pond too. When he got nervous ground driving he froze and had a “I can’t possibly do that” look on his face, then I just led him where i wanted him to go. There was no dancing around like a crazy horse nor bolting like a wild child. I wonder, did I luck out and get a really cool minded horse?? I sure hope so! I guess time will tell. He isn’t overly confident in his surroundings yet, but we will build on that in due time. The more we get out, the more confident he will become. We got to practice a couple of stairs and looked at so many different objects. We took things nice and slow today. I really think he is enjoying his new on-the-go, adventure seeking lifestyle.

 You would never know Gray Kitty is so sick. She has a 50/50 chance of survival. Her lungs are filled with a fungal pneumonia, she is still eating though.

I just taught Bentley how to ground drive yesterday. This video is only his second time ground driving. Luckily I am able to ground drive him in just a halter. In another week or so he will be ready to go ground driving out in the neighborhood and in the parks. I think he is doing fantastic, easy to work with and very willing.

 Breezy and I meet my friend Julie and her horse Hollee at the Stockyards in Fort Worth yesterday for a beautiful drive! We had a blast!! Lots of crazy fun people, screaming kids, fast moving cars, big horses, and longhorns! Luckily we have the BEST little horses in town!!

Bentley - Tip Top

Bentley and I meet up with my friend Julie and her horse Hollee at a TipTop riding club event where others competed in the obstacle course. We didn’t compete, we were just there for the experience of being out and around other horses. Bentley was so excited to be there, he kept screaming at everyone!

 Bentley had very special visitors last weekend. Christine and her family made the long trip to see him. Bentley was on his best behavior and kept his mouth shut, woohoo!

Breezy - Dutch Branch Park

 Had a blast today at Dutch Branch Park on Benbrook Lake! The ponies did amazing crossing the river! The trails were beautiful and the wildflowers were simply gorgeous!!

Bentley - TRT Oakmont Park

 Bentley did way better than expect for his first time at the park. He didn’t even flinch when he saw his first biker that went cruising by. I’ve been knocked down with other horses. I am really impressed with this little boy! He was so calm today, he never did that nervous little trot that horses do.

Breezy - Cooper Lake State Park

 We went to Cooper Lake State park for an overnight camping trip and had a blast! The trails were awesome and challenging at times. A regular cart would not have made it through some places, we were so glad we had the bikes. 

I LOVE my new set up! In the evening we heard a large pack of coyotes howling. I am soooo glad I had my little trailer to put Breezy in at night, it worked out perfectly!
