The Nursery

Shadow and Stormy have been way too rough with Thunder. All the big boys want to do is play, play, play. Thunder is just so tiny to keep up and all they were doing was picking on him. So I decided to create a nursery! Scarlett is in charge of the nursery, she is the mama of the nursery. The very first time I put Thunder out with Scarlett, she really took to him and babied him. She loves little horses and babies! She is very patient with him.

Scarlett = 850 pounds of crazy mare
Thunder = 50 pounds of pure sweetness

The Bachelor Pad

I turned Shadow and Stormy out with Riffics, everyone did great together. When I say everyone did great together, that really means that Riffics didn’t kill my little boys, so that’s great! All Stormy and Shadow want to do is play, play, play! They totally needed some adult supervision. Riffics is the grumpy old man who doesn’t want to be in the kiddie pasture, but does very well at keeping everyone in check. So I have created a Bachelor Pad for my boys, no girls allowed!!

Shadow - My Beautiful Little Boy

Shadow just looks so beautiful in this pic!
He loves his stall!

Amazing Little Horse - Thunder

When I brought Thunder home he had an extremely bad case of lice and was way too skinny, I could feel ribs and see his backbone along with his hip bones. He was lethargic and very weak. Now here it is almost 3 weeks later and he is doing amazing! He gets to act like a horse, running and prancing around his pasture, bucking and kicking, jumping on the other horses. He has been clipped twice and applied a lice shampoo bath weekly. He has also been wormed and will continue to be wormed monthly. He absolutely loves it here, where he is currently getting feed 4 times a day and has access to unlimited hay. He is getting a half of cup of grain at each feeding for a total of 2 cups a day. He is receiving unlimited coastal and alfalfa hay, but he much prefers the coastal. His eyes were all goopy too. I put drops in them every day and they have cleared up very nicely now. He is an amazing little horse and I just love him to pieces! He is only 8 months old and stands at 23 inches tall.
