Nova - Happy Halloweenie

 Dear Horse Friends,

Mommy keeps telling me how fat I am, she is so rude. Her and the doctor even discussed it a few weeks ago. They just talked about me like I wasn’t even there, I could hear every word they said. They both are so not politically correct, I am not fat! I am pleasantly plump. And thanks to that mean doctor lady I no longer get any of that yummy grain, I feel like I’m starving! Could someone please send some Halloween candy my way?? Mommy won’t let me go trick or treating by myself tonight, she says there are crazy dogs out there that would love to eat little girls.

I got to wear my Halloween costume today! Im so cool! Mommy went to tighten the strap under my belly… I mean, yeah, I just had a big breakfast of hay so my tummy was a little bloated, but seriously I am not fat. Anyways, I didn’t like how she was tightening the belly strap thingy, a girls gotta breathe you know, so I tried to bite her. Mommy is getting fast and missed my teeth, I’ll need to up the ante. She did lecture me AGAIN on how biting isn’t allowed but she doesn’t lecture Mr. Grumpy pants when he tries to bite me.

I just want to wish everyone a very spooky HAPPY HALLOWEENIE!! I just love this whole Halloween thing!

15 Years of Bliss

 Dave and I celebrated our 15 year anniversary on Oct 22. We had a wonderful anniversary week by doing something really special everyday..… anniversary month really. We went to the botanical gardens in Fort Worth then had a night out on the town.

Dave and I are hosting the “Future Fabricator” award at MCACN this year. We are giving away a welder plus all the accessories to someone under the age 25. Dave even made this award! It turned out really cool.

 Had a wonderful drive with Stormy today! This was his BEST drive yet! We have been working on moving more forward and getting a faster pace at both the walk and trot. And that is exactly what he did today. He is really impressing me lately and learning so much! I can’t even believe he is the same horse as a few months ago. He is turning out to be a Little Rock Star!

 OMG! I was freaking out! Thunder lost a bottom front tooth and the one next to it is loose too. I have already sent pics to my vet and she assured me this was completely normal for a 3 yo. I was in tears! Add his severe under bite to this and he about gave me a heart attack! I thought he was gonna need dental implants!!

Breezy - TRT Foster Park

What a lovely day! We went to Cobb Park first to check things out. It looks like a real nice park, but very secluded, not many people, lots of beautiful trees and thick woods. I didn’t feel very safe there by myself so we ended up at Foster Park. Breezy was a champ! He was a little nervous about some construction going on but we took our time (since he is still a baby) and made our way through it. He hesitated at a bridge as well and looked towards me for guidance. Overall we had a wonderful time and Breezy had a great experience ground driving at the park.

 I hitched Breezy to the bike today for the first time. He did great! Such the little SPEED DEMON! WOW! He definitely has more go than whoa!
