 We just spent a few days at Fort Richardson SP with some wonderful ladies! We all had a blast and all the ponies had a blast too! What a beautiful park to drive ponies. It was hilly along the lake, great trails. Can’t wait to go back!

Breezy - Ray Roberts Lake State Park

 We had a blast at Ray Roberts! I was able to meet up and camp out with my sweet friends for a few days. In the evenings we went to Berta’s site on the lake to watch the sunset. What a magical time of year!!

Parrie Haynes Meet-Up with All Ponies

I put an “ad” on FB looking to make and meet-up with some new friends that enjoyed camping. I had a huge response so I decided to host a ladies only meet-up group over the weekend at Parrie Haynes Ranch. We had a fantastic turn out and I think we all had a blast! I was able to take all 3 ponies along too. There were a total of 8 ladies and 5 ponies in our group.

The holiday season is all about family, friends, and cheer. An unexpected gift to me this year was each one of these ladies coming to the casual gathering at Parrie Haynes Ranch. I think we all showed up with a little uncertainty about what to expect or how it may turn out but left pleasantly surprised and excited to meet up on the next camping adventure. Although it was chilly outside, the warmth of everyone’s personality, character, and friendship was a gift for all of use to enjoy and truly made this exactly what the holidays are all about. These ladies did not disappoint! I truly believe I just made life long friends!

Bentley: Bicentennial Park

 I can’t even tell you how excited I am about this little boy! He is the exact height I was looking for! Once he matures a little more, he is going to be able to pull me with no problem at all. Bentley took to the cart from day one of training like he was MEANT to be pulling me in a cart. He loves it and is so calm, cool, and collected!  He carts me up and down little hills so easily and carefree. I just love his personality too! He is the sweetest little horse, full of love and joy, always putting a smile on my face. I have had him now almost 9 months and I am very attached and bonded to him. He makes my heart melt, just love him! I am looking forward to our future together and all the exciting adventures we have planned for next year.

Breezy : Foster Park

 Oh my Breez likes to go. For such a teeny tiny horse, he can move. He has always been and will probably always be my hottest horse, it is in his blood, good thing he is so small. We drive out a few miles and as soon as we head for home, watch out! He wants to haul A$$ back! We are working on that and how to be calmer once we turn around and head for home. Lucky for me, I have figured out how to handle and deal with his rearing episodes and I’m glad to report that he hasn’t reared in months. His stamina is very impressive too, I usually can’t wear him out even though sometimes I try. He is in it for the long haul which is wonderful because so am I. He is an incredible little pony who I absolutely love and adore!

Lake Arrowhead State Park- Breezy

 Breezy and I camped out oat Lake Arrowhead State Park Nov. 10-12, 2023 with Cinde and her horse Duke along with her crew Steve, Oskya, and Frio. We had a blast! The beautifully groomed trails are about 5 miles round trip. I decided to let Breezy sleep overnight in the trailer because I was worried he would be able to escape the stalls that were provided. Fabulous time & great weather!

Pole Canyon Ranch - Breezy

 Nov 6-8, 2023

We had a great time at Pole Canyon Ranch! The trails were AWESOME for the horses and our bikes! I wouldn’t go in the summer time or extreme heat as there is no shade on the trails nor the horse pens. Beautiful place, the red canyons are a must see.

 This is how they buddy up. Breezy & Stormy are so bonded, poor Bentley is usually by himself…which is exactly what I was hoping for. Since Bentley will be my main driving pony next year, I need him to be able to go by himself and not be buddy sour.

Stormy got so cold yesterday that he started shivering and it was only 45 degrees outside! He is a very cold natured little horse. They all have been running around like crazy horses with this freezing fall weather.

Mineola Nature Preserve - Breezy

 Mineola Nature Preserve is cart friendly. Breezy and I camped out there and drove their trails for 3 days. Had a blast with Julie and her horse Hollee!

I would not camp here solo. There is no overnight park host, no security, outsiders come and go as the please at all hours day and night, there is no security gate.

Temperatures are finally cooling off here in Texas! I clipped everyone last month but their fur coat is growing like crazy and I will need to clip them again if it gets too hot outside.

Death Grip

 Stormy and Bentley bicker a lot. Bentley is full of energy and Stormy is always putting him in his place. Stormy got him by the throat, NOT funny! Everyone is fine. Bentley keeps testing the waters as a two year old does.

They do get along as long as Bentley is calm, quiet, and listens to Stormy. Breezy is easy going but he does keep Bentley at the bottom of the totem pole. Bentley thinks he should be in charge but the other two won’t give up their spots in the herd. Bentley is still young so things could change as they all age, only time will tell.

 Spent the day with my friend Julie and her horse Hollee at Wyatt Ranch, we had a blast! … a Sonic blast! 🤣

Bentley Camps at Fort Richardson State Park

 Bentley was so brave camping out all alone the past few days at Fort Richardson State Park in Jacksboro, TX. There were no other horses around, no neighing neighbors. He was such a little champ! He is such a little busy body so of course he loved all the hiking and the little bit of trail driving we did. The park was beautifully maintained! The flat, wide, easy trails were perfect for my cart and for Bentleys first time all ALONE with none of his horsey brothers. We will definitely be going back!

Not only was it Bentleys first time but it was also the first time for me to overnight in my beautiful van. It was so enjoyable and I can’t wait to go again this weekend! Stay tuned for our next adventure!

 About 3 weeks and now my van is finished! It is GORGEOUS! STUNNING! SO BEAUTIFUL! I do have to say I think my new van is too pretty to put horses in so I’ve decided to keep my little white van for day trips. This big van already has a tow package so I’ll be able to haul ponies in the trailer.
